Día Nueve

Our last day in Guatemala was well spent exploring some new areas of the country and enjoying eachothers company.

After many hugs, many tears and our traditional village walk to say our good byes yesterday we finally loaded the bus. As the tears flowed the song, This is Home, by Switchfoot came on the radio. The lyrics sum up what we were feeling and were very providential. I've got my memories They're always Inside of me.... This is home Now I'm finally Where I belong Where I belong Yeah, this is home I've been searching For a place of my own Now I've found it Maybe this is home Yeah, this is home... Leaving the village is always tough, but we have our memories and we know we will always have a home there when we return. Today was spent exploring the uniqueness of Guatemala, hiking Volcan Pacaya and roasting the best rating marshmallows on top! So now we can check that off the bucket list. We then spent time in a thermal pool relaxing our minds and tired bodies. Tomorrow we will return to the US, but yeah, this is home. -Rhonda Kelsey (Trip Coordinator, 4th trip)
